Reporting Platform / Measures¶
Measures are used in the data browser to monitor the status of various parts of the organization.
Data can be used from an existing dataSet field or from another database.
For example, you may wish to see the number of Employees you have in your organization but this data may exist in another database.
If you link this database via a SQL query within Zobrio Budgeting and Reporting then you will be able to view the information.

All datasets have the following configuration elements:
| Column Heading | Description |

| Name | Enter the name you wish to call the Measure. |
| Type | Enter whether the Measure is to come from an existing DATASET FIELD or a SQL query. |
| Construction | Enter either the SQL query or the dataset field to be used. |
| Start Type | From the drop-down list select VALUE if the Range is variable otherwise select DATASETFIELD. |
| Start Value | Enter the value that the Measure is to start at. For Example 100. |
| End Type | From the drop-down list select VALUE if the Range is variable otherwise select DATASETFIELD. |
| End Value | Enter the value that the Measure is to end at. For example 100 |
| Visible | Tick if you wish the Measure to be visible in the data browser is open. |
| Range 1 Start | Enter the percentage value you wish to start the unfavorable range of the Measure. For example 0 |
| Range 1 End | Enter the percentage value you wish to end the unfavorable range of the Measure. For example 0.3 |
| Range 2 Start | Enter the percentage value you wish to start the satisfactory range of the Measure. For example 0.3 |
| Range 2 End | Enter the percentage value you wish to end the satisfactory range of the Measure. For example 0.6 |
| Range 3 Start | Enter the percentage value you wish to start the favorable range of the Measure. For example 0.6 |
| Range 3 End | Enter the percentage value you wish to end the favorable range of the Measure. For example 1 |
